About Us
Kenelm Arabians is a very finest arabian breeding farm featuring
some of the most interesting bloodlines in the world.
We are settled in a very beautiful area in France, in northwest
part, near the sea side and close to the second most important swamp
in France, the Natural Park of Brière full of incredible possibilities
for horse riding. We are at 10 minutes of La Baule (large station
with direct TGV from Paris) where is the most beautiful european
beach (open to horses!) 10 minutes from Guérande, this small medieval
city is well known for its salt production and about 40 minutes
from the big city of Nantes ( international airport )
The lovely background near our farm! The Atlantic ocean. A
real piece of paradise.
Our farm includes 2 barns with 25 large stables and a center of
artificial insemination . We are working with a great team of veterinarians
for reproduction.
We have a lot of pastures with secular trees which give shadows
all day long to our horses: they are very happy during the
very dry summers .
A vision of the facility
If our environment is great our real pride is our horses. Some
of our mares are known worldwide like Shamilah Samsara, the best
daughter of the world reserve champion stallion Nadir I, this mare
is something to see Anastacia AA bred in USA is also a treasure
of the farm . Shamilah Jina Bea whom sire, dam and brother are all
world champions! MSA Evening Song multiple champion in USA and full
sister of one of the most nationally decorated horses The Millenium,
Raves and Roses the only daughter in Europe of the US National Champion
in western pleasure Rave VF, Malanje one of the few daughters in
Europe of the brazilian phenomenon Borsalino K, she was featured
on the cover of the magazine as well as several other members of
our outstanding broodmare band.
Anastacia AA one of our foundation mares
Our mares have been collected all around the world from France
till USA and Brazil crossing by Belgium , The Netherlands etc...
We try to find each time the best of the best and we always take
our time and don't hesitate to make a lot of kilometers to find
the right individual who will complement nicely our breeding program.
We think that breeding is a work of art like painting or photography.
Every foal is always something special for us. The birth moment
is truly what we prefer in our work bringing so much excitement
and joy.

Since February 2003 a new member has joined our "family" this is
the snow white stallion Sandstorm JC, well known worldwide, a fabulous
show winner both in halter and performance, a great sire and the
only Fame VF's son standing at stud in France. Sandstorm is definitely
a new step in our breeding adventure we are sure he will contribute
to our success and in addition he is a fabulous riding horse on
trails!
Some others young colts will join him soon in our stallions roster.

I discovered arabians during my childhood through the shows in
Paris: the world championships as we were living near this place
for years, but my real beginning with arabians was in early 1990's
during a travel in Morocco in the beautiful city of Agadir on the
Atlantic coast. It was something truly different from all the others
horses I had ever ridden in my life, arabians looked simply perfect
under saddle and so intelligent! It was great to ride on this large
beach among horses, camels, people etc... very typical! We came
in Morocco four years in a row and more I knew this country more
I loved it and more I was addicted to its horses! I rode arabians
in dressage, jumping, cross country and many many many long trail
rides during the sunset on the beach, now they are unforgettable
memories that will remain in my mind forever!
I made long studies, biology and science etc... so at this moment
I had not enough time to own a horse but in 1995 we made the ultimate
choice with my mother to buy our first equine friends. It was a
first of July and I will remember this day for a long time! Our
first horses to enter our lives are Altie and Viatka de Henson .
"Henson" is a typical french breed created in France at the end
of the 70's by a group of passionate horsemen.

Altie de Henson my very first mare
But my dream was still the same: to own an arabian!
The rest is history but during one day of the year 1998 Loïs (Fiodor
by Vatican x Medersa El Masan by Masan) arrived in my life, this
small flea bitten grey mare was the beginning of our current adventure!
Loïs, the first purebred arabian to enter our life.
We moved to the place we are settled in now in 1999
ready to start our "arabian plan". Months of research worldwide
led us to several wonderful mares who are now gracing our stables
and pastures!
After visiting a lot of farms worldwide, seeing
an incredible number of arabian events we decided to put all our
efforts in a mares research and not in a stallion one, this is
still our breeding philosophy and we are very happy with. So we
have carefully chosen our girls!
We don't bred a specific bloodline , we are essentially
working with outcrosses horses. Our fundations mares come from
a large panel of families! In our farm you can find russian influence
through the Nabeg line that we particularly affectionate with
Menes, Balaton, Nadir I, Nariadni, Neman, but also others with
Salon , Vatican, Naslednik, Antey etc …. For the polish blood
this is the Comet family who really appeals us especially through
Pohaniec and his son Probat. But Engano, Figaro, Eleuzis, Arbor,
Bask and Monogramm, Aladdinn are also present.
Egyptian blood is used as an outside apport searching
for more extreme type and refinement this is through Nazeer and
his sons Ramses Fayek, Hadban Enzahi, Ansata Ibn Halima (Aswan
also in the russian pedigree) Morafic that we have found this
complement of beauty and the Shaikh Al Badi family with Ruminaja
Ali and his full brother Alidaar. El Hilal, and Nabiel are also
in the pedigree of some of our mares.
Spanish blood are represented through our El Shaklan
related horses but also in Sandstorm JC with *Sidi Brahim.
Malanje, a great representant of the Jamaal and Shaklan cross
Crabbet is not to forgot with famous imports Serafix,
Indian Magic and mares Rissla, Riffala, Kazra to name just a few.
And last but not least "domestic" horses are largely
represented in our collection Khemosabi, Ali Jamaal, Bey Shah,
Fadjur etc ….
If pedigree are important the conformation of the
horse and his overall look and expression are from afar more important.
Collected pedigree is something very easy but collecting outstanding
horses corresponding to these pedigree showing the exact particularity
who made their ancestors famous is an hard task! The diversity
of bloodlines that we used in the farm allows us to offer a large
variety of horses to our clients. We show our horses essentially
in halter but being first a rider I try to promote them under
saddle with several of my clients, essentially in dressage and
western pleasure. All our horses are selected on their kindness
and willingness and all our foals are manipulated and impregnated
since birth to become your best friend!
Kenelm Ibn Samsara our first homebred horse to be shown.
An important part of our success is our artificial
insemination centre, maintened by Dr François Valon and I. We
have used the frozen semen of some of the best stallions in the
world and always with a 100% rate of pregancies. In 2002 we used
the frozen semen of Psymadré (Padrons Psyche x Tomorrows Dream
by Aladdinn) owned by Ventura Farms and of *Lumiar Amadeus (RSD
Dark Victory x CA Sabrina by Sabal) owned by North Arabians and
in 2003 5 foals sired by these stallions were born at the farm,
the very first ones ever bred in Europe. We also use the frozen
semen of *Soho Carol (Ali Jamaal x RSD Stdg Ovation by Bey Shah)
owned by Judy Perry he is one of the best young sires today in
USA and we can't wait to bred his first babies in Europe.
Kenelm Madison the very first Lumiar Amadeus foal bred in Europe
Born at Kenelm Arabians!
We would not be there with these mares without the
help of some people working in the arabian business for years
and whom advices and friendship are simply priceless this is why
I'd like to thank now all the persons who helped me in the past
to start my plans.
Of course thanks to all the previous owners of our
horses for allowing us to purchase them.
A very special thank to my friends, I can't name
them all but you are all in my heart and your continual support
as well as the endless help of my family is maybe the most important
thing in my life, I am lucky to have such a great team around
me!
Also thanks to Michael Byatt in USA, Scott Allman
and Mary Lang in Germany.
Thanks to all our clients who purchased a horse
from our farm or a breeding or who just shared a moment with us
taking the time to enjoy the horses for some hours. Our great
pride is to offer a part of dream, the arabian horse is one of
the most beautiful and fascinating creature on earth, we are proud
to live with them and to try to preserve their fabulous genetic
heritage.
We hope to see you at the farm very soon,
